In 1947 he began selling real estate also. The business grew and prospered through the '40's and '50's. In 1962 he purchased the T.C. Collins Insurance Agency, which greatly enhanced the insurance division of the firm.

In 1977, Harvey Marvel, Jr. and Randy Marvel purchased the agency from their father, Harvey Sr. On October 31, 1999 Harvey G. Marvel Sr. passed away. He may be gone, however, the legacy upon which he built this company will live forever.
